Students Travel to Italy

Mr. Ben McIver, Latin teacher, escorted a group of students and parents on a trip to Italy from June 7-17. The educational trip, which included visits to museums, historic landmarks, and ancient ruins, gave students the opportunity to experience the customs, culture, and food of Italy.

股票解套的六种技巧After landing in Milan, the group traveled throughout the country, from the Adriatic to the Mediterranean Seas, spending nights in Assisi, Florence, Naples, Rome, and Venice. During their travels by bus, the students and chaperons stopped in Bologna, Pompeii, Sorrento and Verona. They also travelled by ferry to the island of Capri.

The visit in Assisi included the fortress Rocca Maggiore and the Basilica of St. Francis, the stop in Bologna featured San Patronio Basilica, and the tour of Verona included Juliet’s Balcony. Following a boat tour of Capri, the group visited Capri Town and the Garden of Augustus.

股票解套的六种技巧During their stay in Florence they visited the Baptistery of St. John, the Basilica of Santa Croce, and the Santa Maria Cathedral, as well as the Ponte Vecchio Bridge over the Arno River. They also toured the Gallery of the Academy of Florence that houses many famous works of art such as Michelangelo’s sculpture of David.

股票解套的六种技巧While in Rome the group visited Vatican City which included a tour of the Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Museums. Also in Rome, they visited the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

股票解套的六种技巧In Venice the group traveled the canals in gondolas, stopped on the Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal, and visited the island of Murano for a glass blowing demonstration. The stay in Venice also included visits to the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Square.
